Autocad 2008 fatal error out of memory

Check and adjust system swap file settings. If your swap file is set to let Windows manage your swap file settings, you probably do not need to make any changes; performance may suffer, however. If you prefer a static swap file, you may need to increase the maximum size of your swap file to avoid the out of memory errors.

See related solutions, Windows Help, and the resource guide for your operating system for more information about performance and how to configure the swap file. Reduce the amount of information you are working with. If you can simplify the drawing you are working with you may be able to avoid these errors.

For example, if you are hatching large areas, try breaking it down into smaller sections. If there are multiple drawings loaded, try closing the ones you are not working with. There are many other methods you can use within the program to reduce the amount of memory being used. Has the ServicePack for LandDesktop been installed? I know this affected AutoCAD and was corrected with a service pack, the machines it happened to were somewhat random.

It is drawing specific. Other people in CAD are abel to open the drawing no problem though. I do believe the service pack has been installed.

And I havent gotten word whether or not it opened in Land Enabled Map. AutoCAD may eventually freeze, requiring the acad. If the excessive memory usage happens when saving, it may occur after one save or it may be progressive with each save using more and more RAM. Eventually the drawing becomes impossible to work in and the program hangs and stops responding.

Causes: There are several known causes: Large number of annotative objects present in a drawing. General file corruption. Go To Solution. Best Answer. About Katei Questions 0. Answers 5.
