Papa Sangre is survival-horror, where you're cast into the land of the dead, using degree sound to avoid creatures, save lost souls and avoid being torn apart; intense. For a while, Papa Sangre is a wonderful novelty. Unfortunately, the further you get, the more trial-and-error annoyance starts to put a crimp on your enjoyment.

Lara Croft GO. You use a wheel on the iPhone screen to turn, slowly nudging it until a sound cue that was on your left or right is now heard in both ears.
Then, tapping a pair of feet on the screen walks forward — or, as necessary in some case — run. But if you tap too fast or out of sync, you will stumble, fall, and likely perish if a creature of the underworld is nearby. Of course, you can use the binaural sounds to also keep away from trouble.
Putting the growl of a terrible beast as far away in only one ear means you've got safe distance between it and you. I'm not going to spoil any of the events in Papa Sangre both out of respect for the developer and respect for you. Needless to say, I was amazed by how rich of a world was created only with sound. The underworld is a terrifying place, made even more so by a narrator that I was never percent sure was on my side.
Her voice acting — and almost all of the voice in Papa Sangre — is top shelf. Do yourself a tremendous favor and play Papa Sangre in a dark room. Turn off the television. The fewer distractions around you, the better your Papa Sangre experience. I would hate to think of the spell being broken by catching sight of a TV show or hearing a real-world radio.
Papa Sangre really is one of the most unique games out there on the App Store. It's clever use of binaural audio and Hollywood quality voice acting and sound makes it a game that I will show off again and again to my friends.
With no visuals, it's certainly not a good game to play on your morning commute or if you are in a loud place, but if you can find a dimly lit, quiet room, you really are in for a treat. Papa Sangre puts you in a world of darkness on a mission to save a lost soul.
